Precise Variable Amplifier 5×200 V
This device consists of five precision high-voltage amplifiers. At their outputs, they produce a 20× amplification of the input voltage. The amplifiers are arranged in three groups, each group has one signal input. Two groups contain two amplifiers each, one with a positive and one with a negative amplification. Thus, the two groups supply two pairs of symmetrical output voltages. The third group contains only one amplifier with a positive amplification.
The amplifiers are extremely low-noise and DC accurate. They can drive high capacitive loads without any stability problems so that, for example, all conventional piezoelectric actuators can be driven by the device. The DC accuracy and the extremely low noise predestine the device for the amplification of output signals of precise D/A converters. The large signal-to-noise ratio of about 130 dB can only be fully utilized with converters with a resolution of more than 20 bit.
